Healthcare Event

The NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre has asked the Parish Council to promote its Joint Biomedical Research Centre Open Day event, taking place at Leiden Square, Westgate Centre, Oxford from 10am to 3.30pm on Thursday 30th May 2024.

The Open Day is an opportunity for residents to learn more about a broad range of fascinating healthcare research taking place in Oxford, how it translates into tangible clinical benefits for NHS patients, as well as the variety of careers options available in medical research.

There will be over forty interactive stands to learn about the latest research into a broad range of healthcare themes including the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease, the importance of sleep, mental health issues, endometriosis, dementia and many other conditions.

There will also be an opportunity to engage with clinical researchers from Oxford’s two BRCs, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Oxford, as well as find out more about ways to get involved in their research.

This is a public event; no registration to attend is required.  See the flyer below.

There is more information on the Oxford BRC website.
